Accessing training
All foster carers have now been given access to the training database. Please contact BSC training on 0113 378 5274 or email
BSC.training.administration@leeds.gov.uk to receive your password.
To then access the training database, please click on the link below.

If you are having a problem logging into the training database, please contact BSC training via the contact details above.
Once you have submitted your training request - your SSW MUST approve the training before you are fully allocated a place. If this is NOT done you may lose your place. When this is done you will then receive a confirmation email.
If you book onto training and then find that you can’t attend, please advise BSC Training so that your place can be allocated to someone else.

Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training for complex needs
We have had requests for some time now for a complex
needs TCIF and this year the workforce development team are pleased to inform you that we are offering a TCIF Complex needs refresher for those carers who support children and families with disabilities and complex needs. So we are expecting that this will book up quickly.
It is a two day 10am to 2pm refresher and the dates are below. The venue for all sessions is - Technorth Family Learning centre, 9 Harrogate Rd, Chapel Allerton, LS7 3NB
23rd and 24th May 20th and 21st June 12th and 13th July 12th and 13th September 29th and 30th November

Safeguarding training available
Did you know that you don’t have to repeat your introduction to safeguarding training:
Introduction to
working together to safeguard children and young people more than once? Once you have attended this course all you need to do is update your knowledge through the Leeds Safeguarding Children Partnership (LSCP)
Refresher Training
If you would like to further your safeguarding knowledge feel free to brows the other
LSCP training sessions.
Please note that you will need a cost code from your supervision social worker to book because there is a charge for non-attendance.
Caring for LGBTQ+ Children and Young People
This webinar is suitable for foster carers who want to develop their knowledge, tools and confidence to support LGBTQ+ children and young people in their care
The webinar will be led by Stonewall and will focus on:
